CADWorx users now have the option to run on either AutoCAD or BricsCAD platforms.
On April 6, 2017, Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine (PP&M) announced the release of Intergraph CADWorx® Plant 2017 R1. This new release includes the most complete DWG file-based range of tools for effective plant design and offers unparalleled flexibility and collaboration, including the option to run on the AutoCAD® or BricsCAD® platform accessing the current DWG format.
By including the ability to choose the design platform, CADWorx continues to expand upon and provide powerful and adaptive tools that enable quick and easy creation of fully intelligent 3D plant models. Best of all, CADWorx continues to provide users with all the familiar benefits, ensuring every plant designer and engineer has the tools they need to complete projects efficiently.
Installation of Upgrade
The new version of CADWorx will not be a download. It will be shipped on a CD. Customer shipments will start on 14 April to all users who are current on maintenance.
There is only one version of CADWorx. It can switch from AutoCAD to BricsCAD. Files are fully compatible on both platforms.
BricsCAD Trial Download
For those users already running BricsCAD, the new CADWorx installation process will enable you to select BricsCAD as the design platform
CADWorx will run on a trial version of BricsCAD. Users who wish to try the new platform can download a trial version of BricsCAD and then install CADWorx.
